Each PocketKey payment is encrypted before entering the customer’s computer or smartphone. After it is received, it can be safely stored by the website or app and passed over networks with no additional encryption.

In fact, payments can be sent over e-mail or text message without additional encryption. Even if the payment is stolen, it is completely worthless to a thief because it is tied to the merchant and customer account and cannot be used for any other purpose.
